Pantera Press goes to Yale!

Alison is looking forward to immersing herself in the weeklong Leadership Strategies in Book Publishing course at Yale University, which promises to tackle some of the current dilemmas facing the publishing industry worldwide.

“I am particularly interested in innovative thinking with regards to strategic growth and scalability,” said Alison.

Martin Green, Director and Head of Submissions at Pantera Press, was also accepted into this prestigious course.  Martin is interested in digital innovations and how we can better utlise them to be a significant part of the global conversation.

“With this Yale Leadership program limited to just 70 participants, internationally, we are thrilled that two senior Pantera Press staff are attending,” said Alison.

“Pantera Press is relatively new, founded in 2008. I am delighted that at this early stage we have been accepted into this course, it add weight to the innovative approach and business model we have created and adopted to grow in this ever-changing dynamic industry, while actively developing the next generation of talented Australian writers” said Alison.

“This is an exciting year for Pantera Press, having recently announced the launch of the Pantera Press foundation as well as a new partnership with Bloomsbury Australia,”

Pantera Press is one of the few Australian publishing houses that accepts and encourages unsolicited submissions, and is actively committed to supporting and improving writing culture in Australia.

Tina C. Weiner, Director of the Yale Publishing Course (YPC) states: “In these increasingly disruptive times, publishing professionals would benefit greatly from stepping away from their daily routine and particular silos. YPC is a course – not a conference. It provides an environment in which to broaden their perspective, think more creatively about the opportunities and challenges they face, and gain the knowledge and tools to plan for a successful future in both a print and digital landscape.”

Pantera Press looks forward to sharing Alison and Martin’s insights from the Yale Publishing Course. #GreatStorytelling @PanteraPress
